Get ready for an evening of easy-grass!
With one listen you will come to realize there is a special chemistry with the blending of these three creative individuals. You hear craftsmanship, clever compositions, simplicity. Music that is old and new, fun at the same time, layered with Maureen’s soaring vocal capabilities. Not pure folk or traditional bluegrass – easy-grass! Regardless, as the name suggests, it’s worth the effort to stroll on over the next time The Easy Ramblers wander up to the stage.
The Easy Ramblers will be performing as part of The Folkus Project on Friday, September 15, 2017 at 8 PM. The concert will be held at May Memorial Unitarian Universalist Society, 3800 East Genesee Street, Syracuse, NY 13215. Admission is $15.
The Easy Ramblers are a Central New York trio consisting of songwriter Eddie Zacholl (guitar), Dann Mather (bass) and Maureen Henesey (vocals). They have become a favorite regional acoustic act, performing at places like The Westcott Theater, Bill Knowlton’s Bluegrass Ramble Picnic, The Tipperary Hill Music Festival, Sterling Stage Folk Fest and now…The Folkus Project. The Easy Ramblers mix their originals with hand-picked covers from the likes of Gillian Welch, Allison Krauss, Hot Rize, Peter Rowan and The Infamous Stringdusters.
“…a regional trio gamely daring to expand their sphere of influence with original material and strong lead singing.” – HK, Bluegrass Unlimited
“When Maureen Henesey, Eddie Zacholl and Dann Mather come together, the result is music full of rich harmonies and easy bluegrass instrumentations including fiddle, banjo and guitar.” – Jessica Novak, Syracuse New Times
The Folkus Project is a nonprofit organization that fosters and promotes traditional, contemporary, and multicultural folk music in Syracuse and Central New York.
