A fiery new force in acoustic roots music.

Get ready for powerful, resonant, emotional songs and tunes with The Brigideens, the bold new acoustic roots band formed and led by Grammy-winning, Emmy-nominated, 9-time All-Ireland Fiddle Champion Eileen Ivers

Ivers pushes traditional fiddling boundaries, turning a folk music staple into a fiercely fresh, powerfully beautiful, intensely driving world-stage experience. Over a career spanning more than 40 years, she has performed with artists as diverse as Sting, Patti Smith, Al Di Meola, Hall & Oates, and The Chieftains. She was the groundbreaking musical star of Riverdance and has guest-starred with over 60 symphony orchestras, including the London Symphony Orchestra and the Boston Pops. She’s been called a “sensation” by Billboard magazine, “the Jimi Hendrix of the violin” by The New York Times, “the future of the Celtic fiddle” by The Washington Post, and “a virtuoso” by The Irish Times.

This dynamic, female-led ensemble brings together acclaimed vocalists and instrumentalists from the Celtic and Americana traditions to create a sound that’s both rooted and refreshing. From traditional reels, soaring ballads, and genre-blending originals, The Brigideens deliver a high-energy, emotionally resonant performance. Expect fiddle fireworks, driving banjo, multifaceted guitarwork, vibrant percussion, rich harmonies, and stories that celebrate resilience, connection, and the flame of creativity.

Other members of The Brigideens include: Caitlin Maloney (lead vocals, keyboards); Hilary Hawke (5-string banjo, upright bass, clarinet, spoons & vocals); Anna Colliton (bodhran, cajon, percussion); and Colin Forhan (guitar, tenor banjo & vocals).

Named for Brigid, the Celtic patron saint of scholars, poets, healers, and peace, and known for her perpetual flame, The Brigideens are keepers of a musical flame–honoring tradition while blazing their own trail.

“Ivers’ presentation was music with the kind of life and spirit that come together when talented artists from different backgrounds find the linkages that connect all forms of music.” --Los Angeles Times

“A gal power band you don’t wanna miss… The crowd went wild for them!” --Carol Noonan, Stone Mountain Arts Center

“Eileen is to Irish music as Michael Flatley is to Irish dance—a pioneer, an innovator, a universalist. She grew up in boom-box Bronx, and she carries sounds from childhood that are surely embedded in her musical soul… Like Whitman, she contains multitudes, and cannot be contained by Irish music itself.” --Frank McCourt
