Tom Chapin has maintained two long and productive parallel careers: a respected contemporary folk artist and a pioneer in children's music. His concerts feature strong, intelligent songwriting with clear, engaging vocals and the intricate, melodic guitar work that has become his trademark. Chapin's infectious songcraft, sterling musicianship, and personal warmth consistently shine through. Chapin's career spans five decades, 26 albums, and three Grammy Awards. Chapin’s performances appeal to all ages. His songs tell the stories of our times. Chapin presents a lively, interactive, fun-filled performance that engages the hearts, minds, and imaginations of young listeners. His witty, life-affirming original songs convey positive messages about family, good food, and the green earth. Lend your voice, sing a round, learn a song in sign language, and discover the music of a didgeridoo.

Adirondack Two Step is a string band from Plattsburgh with a contra and line dance caller/instructor. The band will teach families how to engage in traditional dance to an interesting mix of instruments, including hammered dulcimers, fiddles, clawhammer banjos, guitars, bass, mandolin, and various types of percussion.

Camp Talooli is an independent non-profit, lakeside summer camp in the woods of Pennellville, accredited by the American Camp Association. Camp Talooli serves thousands of CNY youth and families throughout the year through day and overnight camp programs, and partners with dozens of schools and colleges to provide custom, educational, outdoor field trips and retreats. Nokomis Lodge is an 8,000-square foot retreat center that overlooks the camp’s private lake with a great room indoor seating capacity of 200. It will be a perfect setting for this event.

Children must be supervised by the adult(s) who accompany them.

Tickets for the day are $20 for ages 16 and older, and $15 for ages 3-15. Children under 3 are admitted free. Lunch will be available for purchase.

Food Bank of Central New York will be collecting donations at the event.
